Spend a day in a tranquil haven where coffee, and sugarcane are grown in the verdant Valle Central (also known as Meseta Central). Winding upwards into mountain vistas, you’ll journey toward Hacienda Tayutic, which attracts guests from around the world for its renowned hospitality, home-cooked food, formal gardens and spectacular landscapes. Wander from a labyrinth made of hedges to pass beneath a pergola covered in vines, to gaze into mirror pools that reflect the 120-year-old chapel Sitio de Mata, whilst surrounded by glorious views of the Reventazón River running through verdant valley and pristine fields below. Tropical birds and butterflies abound as you learn ancient methods for cultivating and harvesting the plantation’s crops. Then, sample their finest: freshly roasted coffee, and some items made with sugarcane. You’ll be served a homecooked lunch of delicious local dishes with freshly made tortillas prepared in the traditional way.

Wondrous Mountain Rainforest by Aerial Gondola
