Learn the difference between ‘boules’ and ‘pétanque’, get acquainted with the rules, and begin a real game together with the other tour participants. Similar to lawn bowling and Italian bocce, the game is played outdoors with metal balls. In essence, the goal is to throw your balls as close as you can to the object ball, known as a ‘cochonnet’—so that your balls land closer to it than your opponent’s balls do. It is a game of strategy, accuracy and skill. During the game, you will be offered a glass of rosé wine, in true Provençal style. At the end of the tour, stay in town for a deeper independent exploration, or walk back to the pier with your guide.
